Choosing a Greenhouse

Question:

I recently had a greenhouse built from a kit (not one of yours) framed with pvc pipe and plastic (not sure what kind) connectors at the corners, joints, etc. After 6 years we had a wind storm which tore it apart because the plastic connectors shattered. They had apparently gotten brittle with age/exposure. I'm looking for a replacement that will (hopefully) last longer. I want one 8'x8' or a bit longer - less than 8x12. I see some that seem to meet my needs on your site and I'm wondering about longevity with aluminum or resin - Rion GH34 or Easy Grow 910. I don't want to have to build another one in 6 years. Do you have info on these over say a 10, 12, 15 year ownership. I live in the southeast corner of Massachusetts, relatively mild climate, but we do get those occasional N'oreasters that blow pretty hard.

Answer:

Aluminum framing is your best bet for greenhouse longevity. Some links you can consider are listed below:

All of these units have long warranties on the frame. Polycarbonate for these units typically last for 5-6 years.
